What are Otherkin?

Otherkin, n.

An individual who understands themselves to be partially or entirely non-human in a way that is integral to their sense of self. Has become an umbrella term encompassing fictional and therianthropic identity. // Jane is otherkin, she identifies as a hyena.

This collection of webpages aims to be a "field guide" to otherkin, a phenomenon and associated subculture which involves experiencing a personal and meaningful non-human self.
