What are Otherkin?

Otherkin, n. (pl. otherkin)

An individual who understands themselves to be partially or entirely nonhuman in a way that is integral to their sense of self. Has become an umbrella term encompassing fictional and therianthropic identity. // Jane is otherkin, she identifies as a hyena.

This collection of webpages aims to be a "field guide" to otherkin, a phenomenon which denotes experiencing a personal and meaningful nonhuman self.
