I go by Tigris. I have been involved in the background of various alterhuman communities since mid-2015; I began to contribute more openly within the 2020s. I am a therianthrope, otherhearted, and fictionfolk. I run the website Falconiforme where I host this page alongside personal essays, guides, and resources related to alterhumanity.

I find alterhumanity a subject worthy of serious exploration. The depths of the mind and reaches of spiritual thought are a fascinating dive. I hope for there to be less repulsion and more intrigue when it comes to eccentricity because there is so much to learn about the internal lives of others. The popularisation of the Internet has been a catalyst for many interesting subcultures to make the most of anonymity to confidently present as themselves and have become more approachable than ever before. As they say, "on the internet, nobody knows you're a dog".

When I was poking my snout into this little world a decade ago, it was the writings of experienced otherkin that assisted my own understanding of the concepts and fuelled my desire to learn more. It was the aid of those grizzled long-term members of forums that taught me skills in self-reflection, articulation, and research that helps me not only with alterhuman-related pursuits but in my life in general. I hope one day I can fill that same niche for somebody else.

Below, you can find a representation of my alterhuman identities along with a list of my articles published on this site.
