The Plan

For this phase of work, I'm aiming to give a fresh coat of paint to everything that already existed on the website. This includes new CSS, a theme switcher, restructured pages, and semantic HTML. I'm gradually recreating each shrine and rewriting each essay. Things will be looking a little empty for a while yet, but it won't be left abandoned. I'm always working on it! Eventually, I'll officially retire the old pages that still exist, unlinked, within the files.

Why?

I created this website three years ago. I was not only an amateur but somebody who knew nothing about web development. As you can expect, I didn't future-proof nor write this thing very well. As it grew, and as I changed, I found it increasingly difficult to fit my new project ideas into the original framework. The source code cracks started to show. I felt bound to the constraints I set back in 2022. With this undertaking, I can create a blank slate that leaves space for whatever I'll make in the next few years.
