Siberian Tiger

Self-explanatory, mainly. The tiger is a large big cat, its nominate subspecies has several populations throughout Asia. The Siberian tiger resides in the taigas and temperate forests of the Russian Far East, North Korea, and Northeastern China. Adult tigers live mostly solitary lives in large home ranges where they hunt deer, boar, and hares.

This theriotype is entirely psychologically based, I don't have much noemata at all and only experience my current life and the world around me as a feline. I've always seen myself in the aloof dispositon of solitary cats and the environments the Siberian population of P. t. tigris inhabit. The tiger is a striking animal, one that I percieve as my mirror image.

I consider myself always shifted at some level. Certain situations and triggers can make that more intense, but it will run in the background at a near-consistent level. The most common supernumerary phantom limbs I experience are paws, mane, nictitating membrane, and canine teeth. My behaviour is distinctly feline but noticeably domesticated, unlike a pet domestic cat but comparable to a captive tiger raised around humans. I am not sure whether this is due to living in human society or because my theriotype is a captive tiger habituated to humans.

Vergil / V — Devil May Cry

Vergil is a half-human, half-devil, hybrid, and the twin brother of Dante. Following his mother's death, he shuns his humanity (which he regards as a weakness) and seeks out strength and power by any means necessary. This act leads to him being challenged by his brother while he attempts to open the gates to the Demon World. After challenging the demon king, he loses and is transformed into the dark knight Nelo Angelo, during this, he is deprived of autonomy and forced to carry out the deeds of Mundus. When he escapes from his captivity, he severs his human and devil sides with his sword, Yamato - the human side, V, is then tasked with reuniting with the devil side, the demon king Urizen.

This fictotype has more of a spiritual element to it, but is still reinforced by psychological influence. I have detailed noemata for this kintype that takes place across my entire life. In terms of phantom limbs, I experience horns, scales, and claws most commonly. I see Virgil from The Divine Comedy as well as the real-life Roman poet Vergil as paratypes.

While Nelo Angelo and Gilver (DMC1, DMC1 light novel), Vergil (DMC: Devil May Cry), and Urizen (DMC5) are technically / arguably me, I consider their influence insignificant enough to my experiences now that I don't have a reason to call myself them. I refer to my otherkind identity as Vergil as draconic rather than purely demonic or humanoid due to a few reasons which I've touched on in this essay.

Currently, I'd say this aspect of my self has rescinded into the background somewhat. I believe I have worked out pretty much everything I needed to so I have little to ruminate about and the experiences are much more mundane in my life. Even if I wouldn't say I no longer identify as him, the identity has pretty much served its purpose in my current life and I'm not as interested discussing it.

Raiden — Metal Gear

Raiden is a Liberian-American mercenary and former child soldier in the First Liberian Civil War. After being expatriated to the US as a refugee, he joined the US military and underwent an extensive VR training program, remaining mostly unaware of his past. In 2009, he infiltrated the Big Shell decontamination facility as part of a Patriot-led test. Some time afterwards, he is captured during a rescue operation in Area 51 and subjected to extensive experimentation that left him with a fully cybernetic body from the lower jaw down. In 2018, he joins a private military company and breaks away from official orders to bring down a plot that aimed to force street children to be biomechanical soldiers. During this, he unearths a repressed, violent, persona that caused him to be referred to as 'Jack The Ripper', after the unidentified serial killer who carried out the Whitechapel murders.

This has a significantly stronger spiritual side to it than Vergil, although the specifics aren't fully fleshed out. I bounce between calling him a paratype or fictotype; the central element is still that I do identify as him in the same manner as fictionkind, it's just that the underlying causes are perhaps unknown and uncommon. I have vivid noemata and supernumerary phantom limbs of the later cybernetic body. Due to Vergil taking a backseat in my introspection priorities, this 'type is my focus currently.

Bovidae

Bovids are cloven-hoofed, ruminant, mammals that include antelopes, cattle, buffalo, sheep, and goats. Bovids are extremely diverse in form and size and populate most areas of the globe. Domesticated bovines are used extensively in agriculture for meat, wool, leather, dairy, transport, and draught. In most species, males possess horns, although both sexes having horns is not uncommon. They have varying social dynamics, ranging from solitary species, small family groups, herds, bachelor groups, and harems.

I consider myself spiritually connected to bovines, especially large spiral-horned antelopes. I hold a deep respect for ungulates in general, I see myself in them, see them as family, and I often think if I could pick a theriotype, it would be a bovid. This is mostly linked to my tiger theriotype, but also various noemata from Raiden and in a hearthome sense. I see the bull as an archetype an important part of my principles. My feelings possibly stretch to ungulates in general, especially donkeys, deer, and camels, but much more distantly.
